Staff from GP practices across Sefton, Liverpool, were taught suicide prevention skills focusing on young people at a two-day programme on Wednesday and Thursday this week. This was a part of the Practise Hope initiative by Olly’s Future, funded by Zero Suicide Alliance. Guest speakers: Nick Brown and Jan Prichard delivered our ‘Talking about Suicide: Ten Tools’ session https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/talking-about-suicide-10…Bob Wilkinson spoke about the work of the Samaritans Charity and what they offer the community. Jessica Edwards and Wayne Coleman from The Life Rooms spoke on the benefits and details of all resources offered. Jake Mills from Chasing The Stigma spoke on his journey of his suicide attempt and his growing charity. Yvette Gloria Santana held a hidden emotions workshop and spoke on how there are psychological effects of colour and what this can mean. They spoke about how seeing colours evokes particular emotions.
