The Pressure of Success – One hour suicide prevention toolkit workshop
The Pressure of Success is a one-hour suicide prevention toolkit workshop aimed at people in the workplace, particularly young professionals and graduates.
When: Monday 18th November 6pm – 8pm
Where: Second Home, 68, Hanbury Street, Spitalfields, London E1 5JL
The Pressure of Success is in in collaboration with Rose Allett of Start the Conversation and we will be delivering the session on the night. Rose and Ann are both trainers of the world-renowned ASIST course (Applied Suicide Interventions Skills Training). Rose is also a trainer of other related courses including SafeTALK and Suicide First Aid, and a qualified counsellor specialising in working with young people aged 13-25. Together, Rose and Ann devised this workshop to teach groups, in just one hour, how to spot the signs and how to start the conversation and support a person who may be thinking of suicide. We know how little time employees can spare, hence the one hour format.
This workshop is quick, impactful, sensitive and meaningful. Like too many other young people, Oliver was a high achiever, with huge expectations and so many opportunities; yet he took his own life leaving his family and friends shocked and devastated.
The showcase itself will begin at 6.15pm for one hour, after which we look forward to answering your questions and receiving your feedback. We hope and expect that you will personally benefit from participating too. Finally, we hope to discuss how The Pressure of Success could be delivered within your own and other organisations.
