Two very special awards in memory of Olly take place in the space of a week every year. The first was presented at his old school on Speech Day at Christ Hospital School to trumpet-player Chi-Naemerem Udokpro, winner of the Oliver Hare World Traders’ Company Cup for commitment to the Christ Hospital Marching Band. Chi is pictured with Mary Hardy, Master of the World Traders, who was a close friend of Olly and who set up the award in his memory. Olly led the Christ Hospital Marching Band at events such as the Lord Mayor’s Parade and Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The second award went to Ram Sabaratnam, who won the Oliver Hare UCL Altruism Award. The prestigious event took place at Bloomsbury Theatre, London, where Olly had performed on stage. Ram, holding his certificate, is pictured with last year’s winner Shiv Patel and members of Olly’s Future on the red carpet. This year there were 21 nominations for the award.
Congratulations to both our wonderful winners.
