An Amazing Fundraising Hike for Olly’s Future!
An incredible group of UCL students came together for a fundraising hike in support of Olly’s Future suicide prevention charity, set up in memory of Olly Hare – a former student of UCL.
The hike took place along the scenic Basingstoke Canal – a 15 km walk from Woking to West Byfleet. Passing through serene woodlands and historic locks, it was a peaceful and enjoyable day for all who took part.
With clear blue skies and enchanting views, the hike was not only a great way to get outdoors but also a powerful reminder of the importance of mental well-being. The photos say it all – smiles, fresh air, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
A special shout out to Jimmy Lee (Olly’s Future Ambassador) for organising this fantastic well-being event for fellow hikers as part of the Olly’s Future Leadership and Ambassador Programme! (funded by the National Lottery Community Fund) Your dedication to supporting others and spreading awareness is truly inspiring.
A huge well done to everyone who took part! Let’s keep the momentum going and continue making a difference together. UCL Hiking Club The National Lottery Community Fund
