Suicide First Aid Training Complete!
A big shout-out to our amazing Olly’s Future UCL Ambassadors who recently completed Suicide First Aid training through our Leadership and Ambassador programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The National Lottery Community FundUCL
We are very proud to have recruited such a wonderful group of young Ambassadors with such enthusiasm for the cause, all of whom are on course for completing all components of our Leadership and Ambassador programme.
Krishan described the training as eye-opening. ‘Tackling the stigma around suicide, discussing the healthiest way of talking about suicide, and being educated on essential tools in both spotting the signs of suicidal thoughts and helping those with suicidal thoughts made this training so important. I owe a huge thank you to Olly’s Future for organising the training for us!’
This is a huge step forward they’ve all taken in helping their peers stay safe from suicide. Their commitment to creating a safer, more supportive student environment is something to celebrate
Suicide prevention is everyone’s business — and we’re so proud to see young people stepping up.
Well done to you all
