This is the cornerstone of Olly’s Future’s mission, a charity dedicated to shining a light on suicide prevention through education and awareness. Founded in memory of Oliver Hare, Olly’s Future continues to make significant strides, embodying its motto ‘love and light.’
In a landmark initiative last November, Olly’s Future rolled out the Dr SAMS (Suicide Awareness in Medical Students) training at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust. This pivotal program facilitated through a generous ยฃ3,500 grant from BMA Giving, educated 50 FY1 doctors on the nuances of mental health challenges faced by their peers and patients alike.
