A Huge Thank You to Our Dr SAMS Participants and Partners!
It’s been another incredible year for Dr SAMS (Suicide Awareness in Medical Students). We want to say a massive WELL DONE to all the medical students, resident doctors, physician associates, paramedics, psychology students, and nurses who took part in our two part training involving ‘Talking about Suicide:10 Tools’ and ‘CareSpace: 10 Techniques for Wellbeing’ to ensure you look after yourselves, your peers and your future patients.
We also want to express our gratitude to our partners and funders – this initiative wouldn’t be possible without their unwavering support. Their contributions help us equip the next generation of healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to spot the signs in someone who may be thinking about suicide and to start a conversation that could save the life of a patient, family member, work colleague, friend or total stranger.
