We’re so pleased to announce the winner of this year’s Oliver Hare Altruism Award at UCL – Danilo Paganelli.
The award is presented annually at the UCL Students’ Union Awards, held at Bloomsbury Theatre, London. It is always saved for the final award presentation of the day.
Danilo was also the winner last year! To be the recipient twice is a first for this award. This clearly shows how much the contribution Danilo makes to student life at the university is valued. We heartily congratulate and thank him for everything he has done.
Danilo tells us he is passionate about tackling loneliness, and supporting good mental health – for all students, but particularly those in marginalised groups.
Olly’s Future founding member Olivia Buckland and interim Deputy CEO Jess Estcourt presented the award and congratulated Danilo on his achievement.
We are delighted also to congratulate Danilo on his new job, Student Voice & Communities Coordinator, at Birmingham Newman University.
The Oliver Hare Altruism Award was set up at UCL, in memory of Olly, who studied there for three years, gaining a first-class degree in History.
We’re so proud of all the winners and the huge impact they make, as volunteers, in supporting their fellow students.
